What would you put on the back of your You Can Think Pad if every slot could change a whole run? Baldi's Basics Plus v0.13 asks exactly that, because this update replaces grades and time bonuses with stickers, and the choices you make at Johnny's Store now follow you from floor to floor.

How Stickers Work in Baldi's Basics Plus v0.13

Stickers come in sticker packs sold at Johnny's Store. You open them and apply stickers to the back of the You Can Think Pad using the Packet-O-Matic, a device found in the store and in the Pitstop. Up to four stickers can be active at once, and copies of the same sticker stack their effects.

Normally a sticker lasts only until you beat the current floor. The Glue Stick upgrades a sticker slot so the sticker stays for the entire run, which makes it one of the most fought-over purchases in the game. Once a sticker is applied it cannot be removed without being replaced, and the replaced sticker is lost for good.

There are eighteen stickers in this version. The Backpack sticker gives an extra inventory slot, the YTP Multiplier sticker raises YTPs earned by 25 percent, and the Cash Register sticker forces Johnny's Store to generate inside a floor. Players who enjoy build-crafting in roguelikes will spend more time on this screen than on the map.

What Was Removed to Make Room

The grade system and the time and grade bonuses at the end of each floor are gone. In their place, some stickers grant YTP bonuses when a floor ends. This means a run without the right stickers earns noticeably less, and early levels feel poorer if your packs are bad.

This change split the community. Fans of the old grade screen liked that skill was rewarded directly, while sticker fans argue the new system gives more control and makes every run feel different. Threads comparing a fast A-grade run in older versions to a sticker-heavy run in Baldi's Basics Plus v0.13 still pop up regularly.

Students now give 100 YTPs instead of 75 for returning a lost item, which partly offsets the lost bonuses. Diamond YTP pickups worth 250 YTPs also appear after winning field trip minigames, so a successful Campfire Frenzy or Pick-Quick-Nic matters more than before.

Smaller Shifts Players Noticed in Baldi's Basics Plus v0.13

Student Shuffle crowds now push characters at 95 percent of their movement speed instead of full speed. That sounds minor, but it means a crowd no longer drags Baldi past you as reliably, and some players who used Student Shuffle as an easy escape lost that trick.

Johnny's Store got a new layout to fit sticker packs, and the Stealth sticker was pulled from Endless Mode because it allowed a severe exploit. Bonus Sticker Packs were also blocked from appearing in Endless Mode.

Several rough edges remained at launch. The tutorial does not explain stickers yet, every sticker pack looks the same, browsing a large sticker collection is awkward and you cannot view applied stickers in the middle of a floor. These are the complaints you will see most often from players trying the system for the first time.

Building a Run Around Stickers

The best early habit is to buy one pack on Level 1 and look for the Backpack sticker, since an extra slot helps every later floor. If you find a YTP Multiplier, put it on before the long floors so the 25 percent bonus applies to the biggest payouts.

Save the Glue Stick for a sticker you would buy again every floor. Gluing a Cash Register sticker is popular in Endless Mode, because having Johnny's Store inside the floor means you can spend YTPs without waiting for the Pitstop.

For players who prefer a pure stealth run, it is possible to ignore stickers entirely, but the game is clearly balanced around using them now. Baldi's Basics Plus v0.13 rewards anyone who treats the Packet-O-Matic as part of the route, and a well-stacked set of Backpack and YTP Multiplier stickers can carry a weak seed all the way to the last elevator.
