Field Trips and Endless
Field trips in Baldi's Basics Plus are bonus outings taken from the Pitstop with a Bus Pass, and winning one of their minigames lets you keep three items, while Endless Mode is the score mode where notebooks keep coming until Baldi catches you. Both are also playable straight from the main menu.
Getting on the Bus
A field trip starts in the Pitstop. Carry a Bus Pass in your inventory and click the bus door; walking up to the bus is not enough. Level 2 always has a locked room holding the Bus Pass, so a key or another way through its shaped lock is the first step toward a trip. Inside a field trip, a 3D hub area offers two minigames and you choose one.
Clicking the Baldi standing near each minigame area opens its tutorial. Each minigame has its own music, and winning spawns eight items, of which you can take up to three. A perfect performance adds a 250 YTP bonus, and Diamond YTP pickups worth 250 YTPs appear after a win.
Campfire Frenzy
Campfire Frenzy is about keeping a fire burning by launching fuel into it. Some fuel harms the fire rather than feeding it, so tossing everything in without checking will fail the round. Watch what you pick up before throwing it, and keep a steady rhythm rather than dumping fuel in bursts.
Camping Baldi appears in a camping outfit, and his mouth moves with the volume of his voicelines during the explanation. The campsite ambience follows your volume settings.
Pick-Quick-Nic
Pick-Quick-Nic asks you to grab food quickly before Baldi's appetite takes over, while avoiding Baldi's favorite food. Plates are clickable hotspots. Rounds where all food appears and Baldi thinks of a single item give more reaction time, and hotdog bomb and pizza bomb rounds test reflexes; in normal mode hotdog rounds come up less often than pizza rounds.
| Minigame | Goal | Main danger |
|---|---|---|
| Campfire Frenzy | Keep the fire burning | Fuel that harms the fire |
| Pick-Quick-Nic | Pick food in time | Choosing Baldi's favorite food |
Use field trip rewards to fill gaps for the next floor type: with eight items to choose from, take the tools the Pitstop chalkboard says you will need rather than the rarest-looking ones.
Field Trips From the Main Menu
Field trips can also be launched directly from the main menu, outside a Hide & Seek run. There they serve as high-score challenges or practice, which is the best way to learn Campfire Frenzy's fuel types and Pick-Quick-Nic's bomb rounds without risking a run. Each minigame has a scoring mode and a normal mode, and the normal mode uses a gentler difficulty curve.
Inside a run, the bus counts as part of the Pitstop, where stamina is unlimited and items cannot be used. That means a field trip never costs stamina or burns an item by accident, and the only real cost is the Bus Pass itself.
The camping trip is the current destination. A farm trip existed in earlier builds and was disabled for a rework, and the store page lists more field trips as planned for later in development.
Endless Mode Setup
Endless Mode opens with a level select menu where you choose the level type and size, built from Hide & Seek levels. The goal is simply to collect as many notebooks as possible before Baldi catches you.
- A new item spawns somewhere on the floor each time you collect a notebook, if there is room.
- A Student with a lost item appears every two minutes, if there is room.
- Johnny's Store starts open and restocks only through the 250 YTP restock button.
- Math Machines switch to bonus questions once their notebook is collected.
- If every notebook is collected before any respawn, one random notebook respawns immediately.
- The Bus Pass is replaced by a 100 YTP pickup, and Chalkles never spawns.
Endless Mode Strategy
The store page lists pre-made maps alongside nine randomly generated map options. Large maps spawn more characters and small maps fewer, so map size is the main difficulty dial. Returning lost items is the steadiest YTP income, and the restock button turns that income into the items a long session needs. Buying a Cash Register sticker brings Johnny's Store inside the floor, which suits long sessions. The Stealth sticker and Bonus Sticker Packs are not available in this mode.
Because every failed activity adds to Baldi's speed for the rest of the session, accuracy outweighs speed in Endless more than anywhere else. For the activity rules, see the activities guide; for item picks, the items and YTPs guide.
